CB Author Profile Documentation

CB Author Profile Plugin displays cb avatar, profile link and number of articles published by the author with a description within a box after Joomla content. It automatically detects author avatar and number of published articles by the author, if no avatar is available it displays default avatar. Custom cb field names can assign for author details and for author website URL.

Requirements:

1. Joomla 1.5.x

2. Joomla 1.6.x, 1.7.x & Joomla 2.5.x

3. Community Builder 1.2.x - Community Builder 1.8.x

Installation

1. Use the Joomla! extension installer to install CB Author Profile.

2. Under the plugin manager -> CB Author Profile, set the parameters as you like.

3. Enable plugin.

4. Follow these steps if you want to display specific Author Website URLs and Author details for authors. Set the Two plugin parameters "CB Author Details" and "CB Author Website URL" as shown below.

4.1 First you'll be needed to create new custom CB Fields using CB Field Manager (if you don't have them already) to store author website urls and some public details about authors. You can give any name as CB field name values, in my example they are "cb_authordetails" and "cb_authorweburl". After they are created you'll see something similar to below screenshot under CB Field Manager.

Then go to CB Author Profile plugin parameters and enter the two CB Field names "cb_authordetails" and "cb_authorweburl" into CB Author Profile Plugin Parameters "CB Author Details" and "CB Author Webiste URL" fields finally save it.

• Display CB avatar and if no avatar is available displays default avatar.

• Ability to select various font colors for Text and Links in plugin parameters.
